DIVIS BUSINESS
That was 2017 at DIVIS
Review
More than 100 projects have been realized by our engineers, technicians and service employees in 2017 within Germany and throughout Europe. Among them already systems with our new plus function Scale+.
The module enables the uncomplicated volume control of consignments without direct intervention in the flow of goods. We introduced it for the first time in March of this year at the LogiMAT in Stuttgart and shortly thereafter commissioned the first installations with customers.New standards
In terms of hardware, the new 360º 4K cameras this year led the list of the most popular "Next Generation" technologies. The cameras are so popular because of their numerous advantages, we are already talking about a new standard here. In many cases challenges had to be mastered. In several projects, the infrastructure for up to 300 cameras was successfully realized. In September, we already reported on the successful installation of over 100 cameras, for the first time almost exclusively high-resolution 4K cameras, at the German transport expert Zufall from Göttingen.
New customers
Not only in Germany and France, but also in the rest of Europe, the developments for DIVIS were extremely pleasing and led to a significant jump in sales compared to the previous year within Europe. In 2017, a total of 18 European countries were supplied with DIVIS solutions, for the first time including Spain. In January DIVIS equipped a location of the Spanish forwarding agency TSB completely with 360 ° 4K cameras. The company employs over 1000 people. More than 50 logistics centers serve customers throughout Europe and overseas. The equipping of further TSB locations with DIVIS solutions in Spain is already planned. Our client portfolio also includes the international logistics group Gebrüder Weiss. After DIVIS had already equipped a location in Memmingen in 2016, the Austrian branch in Wolfurt and the German site in Aldingen were equipped in 2017.
Anniversary
Last but not least, there was reason to celebrate for DIVIS: The 15-year anniversary was honored with a team trip to France and a summer party for employees, their relatives and partners of DIVIS in September. In this context, we would like to take the opportunity to thank you, our customers, not just for the pleasant cooperation this year, but also for the loyalty and trust you have given us over 15 successful years. DIVIS stood and stands for growth and further development. We look forward to continuing this course together with you in the coming years and strengthening and expanding our position within Europe.
2018
As usual we are already glancing at the New Year and preparing exciting live performances and new releases for you.
For the first time in 2018, you can meet us at the LogiMAT in March and, among other things, learn all about the latest feature of our CargoVIS and ParcelVIS software, the panorama function,
in a live demonstration. At the fair you will also get the chance to try the solution yourself. We will give more details about our trade fair presence in one of the upcoming newsletters. Also planned: an exclusive sailing event for DIVIS customers with workshop and company tour through our business premises in the context of Kieler Woche next June. You will also find out more about this in one of the next newsletters.
DIVIS TIP OF THE MONTH
Useful tools to research with the 360º 4K camera in the DIVIS software
In our last newsletter, we had already presented the new panorama function in the live operation of CargoVIS and ParcelVIS. Today we want to take a closer look at the functionalities in the search mode. Ever since we first used the 360°4K camera as part of a DIVIS solution at Spedition Josef Heuel in Meinerzhagen in 2015, the technology has become increasingly popular.
DIVIS BEHIND THE SCENES
Our representative for cordiality, Wiebke Schöning
It's no secret: motivated and happy employees are the engine of a company's success. Warm, fear-free coexistence among colleagues and with clients, socially competent supervisors and the public recognition of merit are the corporate chemistry for a positive working environment, the echo of which is transmitted to the outside world. This causal chain is often taken for granted, and it usually works in companies with a corresponding corporate culture. At DIVIS, we also believe that internal relations are as important as the company’s customer relations. With success, as confirmed by the feedback of our employees and customers.
In 2016, we implemented an additional level to this in-house philosophy. Just as we safeguard the quality of our products and services with redundant systems, we provide continued support to our most powerful resource, our employees. For this purpose, one colleague at DIVIS was completely entrusted with the task of looking after the well-being of our employees - and our customers. So far, we have had very good experiences and would like to introduce you today to our representative for cordiality, Wiebke Schöning.
Wiebke, originally a trained dental technician, took her chance at DIVIS last year, where she can now fully develop and apply her personal strengths. With a great amount of tact, organizational talent and attention to detail, Wiebke has been taking care of the "corporate happiness" with us and has created a positive atmosphere for the team and guests with her friendly charisma. Her responsibilities include organizing small gifts for our guests, preparing the meeting rooms for conferences, and hosting snacks at workshops. Wiebke also supports us in planning and hosting events. For example, she played the leading role in the successful organization of our summer party last September. She provides fresh fruit at the meeting point, flowers in the offices and maintains good relations with Easter Bunny and Santa Claus.
Wiebke particularly appreciates her work at DIVIS, not only because she has an open ear for everyone, but also because she feels that her own concerns and ideas are appreciated. Her own motivation, says Wiebke, she also draws from the fact that she can even contribute her hobbies and personal strengths, such as baking, cooking and decorating. "I get up in the morning and look forward to work and colleagues," she says, adding: "I have a great boss and nice co-workers. We are friendly with each other. There is a lot of talk. The work is very varied and I enjoy it."
