No matter if you are searching for missing shipments, processing inquiries, complaints and accounting corrections due to damage or oversize or if you are optimising the route utilisation – the information from the CargoVIS video management software adds value to every corner of the company.
Usually, in freight forwarding companies employees from various departments are taking care of these different processes on different devices and in different applications.
With the add-on module Picture+, individual still images from CargoVIS can be made available company-wide on various devices and in some applications even automatically. This means that this information and evidence can be accessed exactly where it is needed.
Here’s how it works
Picture+ is a web interface for the provision of pictures that runs on your Windows server. This interface enables access to image data on the DIVIS recorder. The query of the individual images is really easy: Either use the shipment number of the respective shipment or enter a time stamp and area name.
The individual images can be called up directly on an end device via a client that integrates Picture+ on the customer side. Another possibility is the automated query and display of camera images of the shipments in a transport (TMS) or warehouse management system (WMS).
Whether desktop PC, hall scanner or other mobile devices, the choice of end device is yours.
Image data from CargoVIS can not only be made available across departments within the same building with Picture+. Access from other locations, such as end devices in another branch, the head office or mobile devices while on the road, can also be set up via secure connections.
More control wherever you are
With our module, not only images of the last scan or gate images can be displayed, but practically any individual images from the various cameras. Picture+ uses the area names from your CargoVIS installation for the query. For example, would you like to view the image recorded by the camera in the entrance area at 9:00 p.m. on your desktop in the office? No problem with Picture+ , simply enter the desired time and area name – done!
With Picture+, any desired individual images from CargoVIS can be made available across departments on different devices.
Find missing shipments directly on the hall scanner
Picture+ can run directly on the same hall scanner that is used to process the electronic loading list. After entering the package number of a missing consignment, the image of the last scan taken by the camera and automatically linked to the barcode from the forwarding system is displayed on the scanner or in the forwarding software - including the location, if available.
The data (image information and consignment number) is linked in our video management software. The interaction between the interface of the CargoVIS module Picture+ and the display on a terminal device is enabled by a client or app. Especially for Android scanners, the query of the Picture+ interface has been integrated into the TISLOG intra app from our partner TIS GmbH.
This solution enables your warehouse staff to search for missing shipments on the spot using the hall scanner, without long interruptions and without having to leave their workplace. This streamlines the processes in the hall and saves time, for example in local traffic loading.
If a damage or an irregularity is discovered, the warehouse employee enters this directly into the mobile device when scanning the shipment. Picture+ then provides the corresponding pictures so that the responsible employee can take care of the claims processing immediately.
Useful insight for tour and load optimisation
The dispatch department benefits from Picture+ because the images transferred to the shipping software can also be used, for example, to evaluate the truck load when it is leaving the gate. By entering a gate camera and a time, details on the time and processing of loading and unloading can be viewed in the image material. Quick access to this information supports your tour planning and load optimisation.
Picture+ is available as an optional Plus+ Feature directly from DIVIS for the CargoVIS software.
With Picture+, access to image data from CargoVIS is also possible from other locations, e.g. from end devices in another branch, the head office or mobile while on the road. This can be set up via secure connections.
