AUTOMATIC FREIGHT DIMENSIONING WITH DIMENSION+
The XL version now also measures long goods up to 6.5 m!
As we develop and refine our solutions, we focus primarily on customer needs and the constant change in requirements due to market developments in our effort to deliver the right solutions.
Last year, for example, we integrated the modern measurement technology of our partner Metrilus into our video management system with Dimension+. The innovative integration of MetriXFreight technology into our DIVIS ecosystem enables our customers to track shipments seamlessly as well as precisely measure palletised goods without long interruptions in loading processes.
In order to further develop the automatic freight dimensioning according to customer requirements, we were able to fulfill our customers' requests for an XL version for measuring long goods in cooperation with Metrilus.
The XL version enables you to measure even large and bulky goods with a length of up to 6.5 m and can be easily integrated into your logistics processes.
Dimension+ for the automatic dimensioning of long goods can now be requested!
Automatic freight dimensioning with Dimension+ offers you numerous advantages!
- Measurement in < 1 second per shipment
With less than one second for the actual measurement process, you receive volume data faster than with other commonly available technologies, now also in the XL version for consignments up to 6.5 m in length.
- Minimised financial losses through greater efficiency
The legal for trade volume information enables precise calculation of transport costs and optimum utilization of loading space.
- Position-independent, omnidirectional integration for measurements without detours
The measuring stations can be positioned almost anywhere and accessed from all directions, allowing measurements to be taken at any point in the warehouse without disrupting processes.
- Legal for trade measuring system (OIML-certified)
With Dimension+, you receive legally relevant measurement data from our legal for trade system, which can be used for the correct invoicing of transport costs for consignments, among other things.
- Fast amortisation
The attractive purchasing costs and the added values resulting from the special combination of video management system and automatic freight dimensioning enable a remarkably fast return on investment for Dimension+.

DIVIS BEHIND THE SCENES
Michael Brand: Our new sales expert for the European market!
Michael joined our team in mid-April 2024 as Key Account Manager Europe and is now actively shaping the future of logistics together with the DIVIS team and our customers.
Michael first became aware of DIVIS in 2015 during his previous sales activities in the field of transport management systems. Since then, synergies in solution sales and customer awareness have repeatedly emerged at industry trade fairs. The pioneering role of DIVIS solutions in camera-based consignment tracking increasingly left an impression on him. As a result, the trained agent for forwarding and logistics services became increasingly interested in contributing his know-how to DIVIS and helping to further tap into national and international markets.
As an expert sales contact, he now takes care of existing business relationships and is also responsible for acquiring new customers. He observes market developments with great initiative. Using his deep understanding of customer wishes and needs, Michael works with the DIVIS team to develop tailored system solutions.
His motivation?
"The shared success! What I enjoy most is the direct customer contact and the joint strategic approach to various logistics facilities. Developing tailored solutions that meet our customers' specific needs and contributing to their success brings me great joy. When the customer is satisfied in the end, everyone is happy," says Michael, continuing: "During my work, I encounter new and exciting challenges every day and aim to solve them in the best possible way. We are keeping an ear close to the market and have a background of profound industry knowledge as well as comprehensive project experience in logistics."
Michael's enthusiasm for mastering challenges is also apparent in his free time. He devotes himself passionately to his hobby as a triathlete with the same energy and perseverance as he does in his job.
Since joining DIVIS, Michael's initial positive impression has been confirmed: "The way we work together as a team and complement each other is uniquely great. I highly value the customer-centric approach and the friendly working atmosphere."
We are delighted to have you on board with your expertise.
Welcome to the DIVIS team, Michael!

DIVIS receives award at the Quuppa Location Innovation Event 2024
The "Repeatable Solution" Award
Quuppa, our partner for indoor positioning technology, once again hosted its Location Innovation Partner Event in May. Our colleague Vincent Schöning was there to find out about new trends, expand our network and - surprisingly - receive an award.
The Finnish company hosted the cross-industry exchange in the picturesque setting of the Hanaholmen conference hotel near its headquarters in Helsinki. Over two days, the participants were given exclusive insights into the latest developments in indoor positioning technology through presentations and workshops.
In his presentation, Vincent Schöning addressed the challenges caused by transponder hardware in indoor positioning. The vulnerability of this hardware adds an element of uncertainty to otherwise reliable positioning technology.
Based on our use case, he then presented the advantages of tagless locating technology.
On behalf of DIVIS, Vincent Schöning accepted the "Repeatable Solution" award as official recognition of the reproducibility and effectiveness of our solution.
An app developed by DIVIS, which takes over the function of the tags on the end devices, makes this possible. This also simplifies device management and the replacement of devices. In addition, the elimination of locating tags reduces installation and repair costs.
Eliminating transponder hardware reduces costs and ensures indoor positioning without breakpoints
- Streamlining and simplifying the handling of goods in cross-docking
- Elimination of acquisition costs and running costs for maintenance and repairs of the tags
- Elimination of tag malfunctions and increased location reliability for seamless shipment tracking
- Rapid amortisation of the investment in the new technology due to reduced costs
- Locating a larger number of end devices thanks to the scalable DIVIS app
A special highlight of the event was the awards ceremony by Quuppa, honoring partners who have been particularly successful in implementing indoor positioning. On behalf of DIVIS, Vincent Schöning accepted the "Repeatable Solution" award as official recognition of the reproducibility and effectiveness of our solution.
Interesting discussions and new contacts in the RTLS world complemented the stay in Finland.
Thank you very much for the award and the inspiring days!

TAPA Conference in Amsterdam
Supply chain security also a central topic for DIVIS
Together with our new sales colleague Michael Brand, our sales expert Vincent Schöning attended the annual TAPA conference for Europe in Amsterdam from June 12-13.
On both days, presentations focused on the key topics of freight security and the resilience of the supply chain to criminal activity were held.
DIVIS has been an official member of the TAPA EMEA family as a security service provider since 2023. For good reason: as a service provider for our customers, we are aware of the growing challenges in terms of supply chain resilience, and it is therefore crucial for us to always meet the latest TAPA security requirements in the planning of video concepts.
Drastic consequences in the event of disruptions to the sensitive supply chain
Even a single disruption in the supply chain can not only affect profitability, but also cause lasting damage to the reputation and customer trust in logistics companies.
Unfortunately, global developments have fueled the rise of cargo theft related organised crime, which is particularly problematic at a time when many companies are facing additional financial challenges due to crises.
Artificial intelligence is also taking the threat to a new level, opening up more options for criminals and requiring stronger protective measures in response.
The extent of current cargo crime becomes clear just by looking at Spain and Portugal. Last year, more than 1150 cargo-related crimes caused financial losses amounting to almost 35 million euros.
The video-based software solutions from DIVIS fit seamlessly into the TAPA standards and support you in complying these security requirements.
More security and less damage through the use of FSR-compliant systems
DIVIS supports logistics companies in complying with TAPA standards with the help of correctly positioned camera technology, appropriate storage time for video data and the necessary service contracts, thus ensuring improved protection of high-value goods. For decades, we have been designing our video concepts in accordance with the latest FSR guidelines on request.
