DIVIS supports
Association for German-Ukrainian Cooperation "Feine Ukraine" e.V.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 left many in a state of disbelief, helplessness and fear of a war on their own doorstep. For the population of the Eastern European country, this conflict means immeasurable suffering, often even the loss of lives and families torn apart.
The "Feine Ukraine" association was founded in Hamburg back in 2011 with the objective of strengthening economic cooperation between Germany and Ukraine. Since the beginning of the war, it has been working tirelessly for the people in Ukraine and for war refugees in Germany.
Our colleague Kyrylo Korsun is a member of the association. He is a Ukrainian with relatives who have been affected by the war.
Unfortunately, the war that started in 2014 has persisted and escalated into a full-scale invasion in 2022, showing no signs of concluding. The work of the organisation is needed more urgently than ever, which makes donations essential to ensure the association's ability to act.

Interview with Kyrylo Korsun
We spoke to our colleague about his personal commitment to "Feine Ukraine" and the organisation's current goals and challenges.
- What makes the association special?
The association for German-Ukrainian cooperation "Feine Ukraine" e.V. is active in Ukraine as well as in Germany with a wide range of projects that focus on promoting economic cooperation and, since 2022, increasingly on humanitarian aid.
- Why is it so important to find more supporters right now?
The long duration of the war and new crises in the world have unfortunately led to a decline in financial support for our organisation. But the Ukrainians are still in need and donations are vital.
Donating to "Feine Ukraine" is not just financial aid - it is an act of humanity that shows that we stand together in difficult times.
- What are the donations mainly used for?
Since 2022, the donations have been used primarily for relief supplies such as essential food and medicines. This is used to support orphans and people with disabilities in war-affected areas and destroyed villages, as well as war-wounded people, who also receive psychological support.
- Is there a project that particularly touches you personally?
Every single project of our organisation is of great importance and contributes to helping people in need. One project that touches me personally is the support and care of the war-wounded. My stepfather is serving in the Ukrainian army and is therefore directly confronted to the cruel reality of war. This also gives my work in our organisation a very personal meaning.
- What significance does it have for you that DIVIS, as your employer, donates to this organisation?
The fact that DIVIS, as my employer, donates to the "Feine Ukraine" organisation touches me personally. It shows that I work in a company that not only focuses on economic success, but also has a heart for important social causes. This donation makes me proud and gives my daily work a deeper meaning. It feels good to be part of a team that is actively committed to helping people in need.
Current projects of the "Feine Ukraine" association
Care for the war-wounded in Hamburg
Since 2022, war-wounded civilians and soldiers have been regularly admitted to Hamburg hospitals for treatment. Many of them bring their families with them from the war zones. These families, who are often overwhelmed by the many changes, are given practical support by the association's volunteers as they take their first steps back into an independent life.
The volunteers assist them in communicating with authorities and offices, which is often difficult due to the language barrier, offer transport services, provide psychological support and help organise rehabilitation measures after serious injuries.
The association also organises cultural and social events to facilitate the integration of refugees in Germany.
Fire service in Odessa, Kiev and the Kherson region
The fire department currently needs donations for a fire truck for the Novovorontsovka region, which is ablaze due to war activities.
The region has only four firefighters and sparse resources with outdated and unreliable equipment. A replacement fire truck feurfinanced by donations is intended to help keep Novovorontsovka in a condition that will allow it to be rebuilt.
Would you like to support this organisation?
Every donation, however small, helps!
We would be delighted if you are determined to make a contribution in the form of a donation, regardless of the amount, because every euro counts!
