DIVIS supports the German-Ukrainian association “Feine Ukraine” e.V.
We support the “Feine Ukraine” association, which was originally founded in Hamburg in 2011 with the aim of strengthening the economic cooperation between Germany and Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the war between Ukraine and Russia and the large-scale attack on Ukraine in 2022, the focus of the aid organization has been on supporting people in Ukraine and providing guidance and assistance to war refugees in Germany.
Our employee Kyrylo Korsun is not only a member of the association, but is also personally affected through family ties in Ukraine.

Interview with Kyrylo Korsun
Last year, we spoke to him about the situation and the work of the association. This year, we took another look at the current situation together with him.
- What characterizes the association?
he association for German-Ukrainian cooperation “Feine Ukraine” e.V. is involved in a large number of projects both in Ukraine and in Germany. While the focus has traditionally been on promoting economic cooperation, humanitarian aid has increasingly taken center stage since 2022.
- Why is it so crucial to gain more supporters?
The ongoing duration of the war and new global crises have unfortunately led to a decline in financial support for our association. However, the people in Ukraine still urgently need help, and donations are vital for many of them. A donation to “Feine Ukraine” means much more than financial support - it is an expression of solidarity and humanity that shows that we are united, especially in difficult times.
- What has changed for your work and the situation since last year? Are there any new challenges or progress that you have experienced?
The past year was characterized by growth and change. Some of our projects, such as the sports club “SC Feine Ukraine” and the veterans' club “UA Veterans Germany”, have grown so large that they now operate as independent organizations - testimony to the sustainability of our work. At the same time, we have significantly expanded our social services, opened a new location in Hamburg and now support around 350 people every week. We are particularly proud of our new German courses and integration seminars, which make it easier for many people to access the job market and education system in Germany.
Another major step forward is the expansion of our psychological support services. Our team is constantly growing and we have introduced language therapies, especially for children who are struggling with language problems due to traumatic experiences. Thanks to close cooperation with other organizations, we can meet this growing need in an even more targeted way.
- Has there been a moment this year when you thought: “This is exactly why we're doing all this”?
A particularly impressive moment was the performance of a musical by the children from our “Kinder Club” in Hamburg. They spoke German on stage, sang with joy and excelled themselves. For me, this was living proof that integration does not have to remain an abstract concept, it can be real. Children who barely spoke a word of German a year ago now stood confidently on stage and enchanted the audience.
Another defining moment was the opening of our new social services site. Seeing how people find safety and support here once again made it clear to us why we do our work. It is precisely these encounters that show that even small changes can make a big difference to individuals.
- What significance does it have for you that DIVIS, as your employer, donates to this organisation?
The fact that DIVIS, as my employer, donates to the "Feine Ukraine" organisation touches me personally. It shows that I work in a company that not only focuses on economic success, but also has a heart for important social causes. This donation makes me proud and gives my daily work a deeper meaning. It feels good to be part of a team that is actively committed to helping people in need.
Current projects of the "Feine Ukraine" association
Care for the war-wounded in Hamburg
Since 2022, war-wounded civilians and soldiers have been regularly admitted to Hamburg hospitals for treatment. Many of them bring their families with them from the war zones. These families, who are often overwhelmed by the many changes, are given practical support by the association's volunteers as they take their first steps back into an independent life.
The volunteers assist them in communicating with authorities and offices, which is often difficult due to the language barrier, offer transport services, provide psychological support and help organise rehabilitation measures after serious injuries.
The association also organises cultural and social events to facilitate the integration of refugees in Germany.
Fire service in Odessa, Kiev and the Kherson region
The fire department currently needs donations for a fire truck for the Novovorontsovka region, which is ablaze due to war activities.
The region has only four firefighters and sparse resources with outdated and unreliable equipment. A replacement fire truck feurfinanced by donations is intended to help keep Novovorontsovka in a condition that will allow it to be rebuilt.
Would you like to support this organisation?
Every donation, however small, helps!
We would be delighted if you are determined to make a contribution in the form of a donation.
