Customer interview
Benefit of a DIVIS solution from the perspective of a CEP CEO
Wolfgang P. Albeck CEO of trans-o-flex interviewed by DIVIS
Mr. Albeck, what contribution can DIVIS make to achieving your goals?
trans-o-flex is a specialist for high-quality and sensitive goods. The success of our company depends on the comprehensive, high quality of our service. In addition to speed, flexibility and reliability, this also includes the integrity of the goods entrusted to us by our customers. The lowest loss and damage rates have been a unique selling point of trans-o-flex for decades. The DIVIS video system supports us in this. This will enable us to guarantee the highest possible standards for a secure logistics infrastructure and a secure supply chain in the future as well.
Which arguments from your security department and / or IT department convinced you to decide for a solution from DIVIS?
To achieve the best results, you need the best possible working structures and tools. Our specialist department has analysed the market for security solutions and made a recommendation, which we in the management followed.
It was and is of crucial importance for our security department to clear up shipment disruptions within a short processing time in order to prevent irregularities. Due to our security standards, we needed a partner who had extensive knowledge of security requirements such as TAPA FSR C.
DIVIS recognized our needs quickly and developed precise solutions for them. In the implementation phase, the created video concept did not have to be adapted, but could be implemented as planned.
In your opinion, what distinguishes DIVIS from other providers in this context?
From our point of view, DIVIS stands out characterised by high reliability. DIVIS designs solutions, that are sustainable and do not just function in the short or medium term. The continuous improvement process required for this over the entire contract period is secured.
How important is the short-term amortisation of the investment in a video solution to you?
Short-term amortisation is important, but not the only criterion. We use video solutions to protect our customers' goods sustainably and have extremely high quality standards. The video solution must also match this. It must support the punctual and damage-free delivery to our recipients and further improve our quality.
The shorter the amortisation phase, the sooner further innovations in the field of video solutions can be planned and implemented. Because the life cycle of such systems is limited. We assume that after seven years of moderate use, the systems will become more maintenance-intensive and more susceptible to failure and should be replaced. This places tight limits on the amortisation period.
