Everything under control, transparent processes
In 2018, DIVIS equipped the branch of the CargoLine system partner Finsterwalder Transport & Logistik GmbH in Halle/Saale with the video management software CargoVIS.
As part of the project, several halls were also equipped with camera technology, partially integrating the existing technology into the new solution. Outside and inside, a total of 80 cameras were newly installed. At the end of March 2019, another 13 cameras were added to the gas station and the access area.
The goal
With the use of the new video system the forwarder was aiming for faster and more reliable results in the research for missing goods, clear documentation of the transfer of liability and detection of sources of damage, more overview and safety on the premises and more effective deterrence against theft.
The challenge
The Finsterwalder project called for the core competence of the DIVIS specialists to find individual solutions for warehousing and cross-docking.
The installation was carried out while the facility was in full operation. During the installation, the flexibility of the DIVIS systems was demonstrated above all by integration of the complex and fragmented technology already existing on the premises. In order not to burden the customer’s existing network with the additional data volume of the image data, the camera network was separated and an individually tailored solution with new network components was developed.
“We are more than satisfied with the new system. Thanks to the high level of expertise at DIVIS, we now have not only a cutting-edge custom-tailored solution, but our existing camera technology has also been integrated into the new DIVIS system. That saved hardware costs."

A first conclusion
Markus Freudenmann, Head of Corporate Development, commented on the project: "The installation of our new video surveillance system by DIVIS took place in the middle of our daily business and was finished on time. Despite full halls and heavy cargo traffic, we hardly even noticed that an installation was in progress on site!"
Finsterwalder is so satisfied with the results after the first few months since commence that the company is already planning to equip further locations.
Freudenmann concludes: "We are more than satisfied with the new system. Thanks to the high level of expertise at DIVIS, we now have not only a cutting-edge custom-tailored solution, but our existing camera technology has also been integrated into the new DIVIS system. That saved hardware costs."

All over Europe, customers from 19 countries at over 450 locations rely on DIVIS products and services.
