DIVIS is committed – our passion projects
"Lots of little people in lots of little places that take a lot of little steps can change the face of the world."
African Idiom
We like to share the fruits of our success with people who urgently need help both in Germany and in the third world.
No one can carry the world's misery on their shoulders alone. But if we all move just a little bit, we can help make life better for many. That is why we at DIVIS are regularly involved financially and personally in regional and national charitable projects that are of special importance to us.
We support the following organizations:
Our current focus projects
Due to their individual objectives, low public awareness or urgent relevance, certain projects are of particular interest to us.
Environmental protection organization Wilderness International
The environmental protection organization Wilderness International was founded in 2008 in Germany and Canada. The team dedicates its daily work to the legally secure purchase of ecologically valuable and acutely threatened forest and wilderness areas around the world in order to protect and preserve them for the future.
Sustainability to protect the environment is one of our company's core values. Unfortunately, in our field of activity, it is not possible to avoid using transportation such as cars and planes 100% of the time. What we can do, however, is to create a balance. That is why we support the organization with our donation to protect wilderness areas and thus contribute to the preservation of natural habitats.
Our former employee Vincent Schöning joined the organization in October of this year.
We spoke to him in an interview about the organization's goals and current challenges.
Association for German-Ukrainian Cooperation "Feine Ukraine" e.V.
Founded in Hamburg in 2011, the "Feine Ukraine" association is committed to strengthening economic cooperation between Germany and Ukraine. In view of the ongoing war, the organisation focuses on direct support for the people on the ground and for war refugees in Germany.
We are not only connected to the organisation through our solidarity with Ukraine, but also through a personal relationship with our colleague Kyrylo Korsun. As a Ukrainian himself, he has relatives who have been affected by the war, and he is actively involved as a member of the organisation.
Unfortunately, the war that started in 2014 has persisted and escalated into a full-scale invasion in 2022, showing no signs of concluding. The work of the organisation is needed more urgently than ever, which makes donations essential to ensure the association's ability to act.
We also support the following organisations
REGIONAL
Lebenshilfe Bordesholm-Nortorf e. V.
Lebenshilfe supports people with disabilities and, with over 250 events a year, offers numerous leisure activities for children, young people and adults - with and without disabilities.
For the first time in 2019, we looked intensively at the work of the association. Lars Hübner, 1st chairman of the association, made it clear to us in a personal conversation how important the time and diversion are for people with disabilities. He personally works with all his heart for the well-being and joy of its members. That convinced us to support the association in its work.
KGV Bordesholm (Bordesholmer Tafel)
The Bordesholmer Tafel collects food from regional grocery stores every week to support single people (young and old), pensioners, single parents, families with children and fundamentally socially and economically disadvantaged people.
DIVIS has been supporting the work of the Bordesholmer Tafel financially for several years so that people in need who live in our immediate surroundings can also participate in our company growth.
Association of the Kindergarten Birkenweg Bordesholm e.V.
The development association of the Kindergarten Birkenweg Bordesholm e.V. was founded in April 2005 by mothers and fathers from the circle of parenting. The association supports the children and the kindergarten with financial acquisitions, cultural experiences and personal commitment to create a colorful, diverse and nature-loving environment.
As a family business, we are very interested in the offspring. Many of our employees come from the region and are particularly valuable to us. That's why we also like to work for the well-being and support of the little ones in our region.
Association of the Lindenschule Bordesholm e.V.
The association financially supports the activities of the pupils of the Lindenschule. Our desire is to provide all children with the best possible help in their school development.
Foundation children’s hospice Sternenbrücke
The Sternenbrücke children's hospice offers children, adolescents, young adults up to 27 years of age with life-shortening illnesses and their relatives individually tailored care and support services for every stage of their difficult path.
Typification at DKMS
A stem cell donation is vital for people with blood cancer and unfortunately not as popular in Germany as it should be. Only a few sick people find a suitable donor within the family and are therefore dependent on a third-party donation. The chances of finding a suitable donation can be less than one in a million.
Since everyone can be a hope of life for a sick person in this world, we raise more awareness in our company. In addition to support for typification and the provision of information about stem cell donations, we assume the costs for the so-called typing and encourage our employees to register as donors on a voluntary basis.
Spielmobil (play mobile) of the Bordesholm youth club
The Spielmobil is a motor vehicle equipped with material for handicrafts and play, sometimes a trailer or a construction vehicle. At certain times, this vehicle flexibly drives to destinations, such as parks, playgrounds or, for example, schools. By this it goes exactly where the children are and provides additional play options or a substitute for missing play options right there.
The mobility of the playmobile stands for movement, not only physical but also mental, as a basic requirement for new ideas and concepts of a new generation. Carefree play reduces the performance pressure on children at school, promotes intellectual and individual development as well as social learning. Thus the Spielmobil thus makes an important contribution to extracurricular education.
As a local company, it is important to us to support local initiatives for our community, especially in challenging times.
Waldpiraten Camp
The Waldpiraten Camp is an aftercare centre run by the German Childhood Cancer Foundation. Here, children and young people with cancer, siblings, families and grieving families are supported by a dedicated team of full-time and volunteer staff on their way back to life and independence.
Every year, around 2,200 children and young people in Germany are diagnosed with cancer. The impact of such a diagnosis on the children's families is hard to imagine for uninvolved people.
The Waldpiraten camp helps those affected to rediscover their own possibilities, to exchange ideas, to have fun and to leave the sick days behind them.
NATIONAL
Save the Children Germany e. V.
Save the Children is the largest independent children's rights organization in the world that has been fighting for children's rights worldwide for 100 years. Today Save the Children International consists of 28 country organizations - including Save the Children Deutschland e.V. - and is active in around 120 countries.
The work focuses on the areas of health and survival, school and education as well as protection against violence and exploitation. In addition, Save the Children provides humanitarian aid in emergencies and disasters and promotes political rights for young people.
There are no foreign children in the world whom we can face indifferently - we are convinced of that and therefore we like to work for the well-being and better life of the children in our world.
Future for Lola's Children e.V.
The town of Bordesholm is what connects our company headquarters and the "Future for Lola's Children" association. The non-profit organisation was founded here by committed citizens. Together with the sisters of the Spanish order "Missionary Daughters of Calvary", the association makes an essential contribution to improving the living conditions of children and people in need in Zimbabwe.
The organisation is supported by about 20 members as well as a circle of donors and friends. Without the financial support of these groups, the work in Zimbabwe would not be possible in its current form.
We are firmly convinced that this commitment has a huge benefit for the development of the orphans in Zimbabwe and would like to make more people aware of the important work of this small organisation.
